My main specialties include:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Mood Disorders

  • Thinking Disorders

I am a trauma focused therapist, as I am passionate about awareness and psychoeducation.  Traumatic events affect all aspects of our everyday life, neurological (brain) and physiological (body) functionality, relationships, mental and physical health.  Many people are unaware of the traumas they’ve been exposed to, and how it is impairing their total well-being.

Mood affects our perception and perception is our reality.  In other words how you see things is what is real to you, so if you perceive things as bad then they are bad in your mind, and vice versa.

Thinking disorders and mood disorders seems to go hand in hand, as thought disruption and distortion can effect our perception of things, and cause negative thinking, characterized by disorganized thinking and cognition confusion. Often thought disorder is a symptom of another mental illness.
