Starting a private practice is an aspiration of many.  Private practice may not be idea for all, but if done correctly, it can be very rewarding and gratifying for the right individual(s).  The process will not be all gems and jewels, but there can be a shiny reward at the end of the rainbow.  Starting a private practice takes determination, motivation, time, patience, effort, research, financial resources, and of course work.  

Reasons for wanting to start a private practice vary.  One of the most common reasons is the desire to be your own boss, entrepreneurship!  If private practice is your dream and you don’t mind investing a little sweat equity, than it may be perfect for you.

Starting a successful private practice is not for the faint or weak at heart.  Success takes planning and preparation.  This webinar workshop will give attendees all the basic essentials of starting and maintaining a successful private practice startup.  All attendees will leave this webinar workshop with sample private practice office forms, a business plan template, an abundance of essential resources, as well as half price future consulting and or coaching sessions with Tina C. Christian, LPC, NCC.

Tina C. Christian, MA, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri, and a National Certified Counselor with the NBCC. She has over 15 years of working with children, individuals and families in numerous capacities; with 9+ years experience working with children, adults and families with serious mental illnesses.  She started her Private Practice in May of 2016, after working as a therapist for a community residential treatment facility.   She has a graduate certificate in Applied Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a MA in Counseling with an emphasis in mental health from Webster University – Missouri, and a BS in Social Psychology from Park University of Missouri.  Tina is a proud member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

Tina has been committed and passionate about providing assistance to individuals in need in a variety of aspects.  Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor or starting her Private Practice, she worked as Service Delivery Coordinator/Parent Aide, Community Support Worker, and as a Children’s Social Worker.    

Through her Private Practice she has provided in-person and virtual online counseling therapy and coaching services to a diverse population. Tina is a Trauma Focused and Informed counseling therapist who is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She has assisted many clients in prevailing challenges such as anger management, anxiety, depression, family and relationship problems, substance abuse disorders, trauma and day to day struggles.  Tina is also the creator and web master for her company web site https://www.atime2talk.org/
